Blepharoplasty

It's often said that the eyes are the windows to the soul.  If your eyes are concealed by saggy or baggy eyelids, it can make you look older than you really are, impacting your self-image. At Foster Your Beauty in New York City, we offer first-rate blepharoplasty surgery to rejuvenate eyelids and improve lives.

Blepharoplasty Basics

Blepharoplasty, commonly referred to as eyelid surgery, is performed to smooth and tighten eyelid skin. It can be performed on the upper and lower eyelids, and while it is typically purely cosmetic in nature, an eyelid surgery can be carried out to improve vision.

What a Blepharoplasty
Can Do For You

A blepharoplasty performed by our board-certified New York City plastic surgeon can address:

Sagging

An eyelid surgery can tighten your loose eyelid skin to erase sagging, giving you a more alert, awake appearance.

Bagging

Unwanted bags under your eyes can be eliminated through the use of eyelid surgery.

Puffiness

The fat deposits that cause puffy-looking eyes can be removed during eyelid surgery.

Drooping

Eyelid surgery can tighten the skin on the lower eyelids that may lead to droopy-looking eyes.

Sight

Blepharoplasty can potentially improve your peripheral vision by removing excess skin.

Dr. Foster Stands Apart

American College of Surgeons Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

Board certification is a key differentiator to look for when choosing a plastic surgeon. Achieving this honor means a doctor has passed rigorous evaluations that prove their high level of skill and knowledge.

Dr. Craig Foster has earned board certification in two different areas—Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology. He has also earned membership as a Fellow in the highly prestigious American College of Surgeons.

Natural Results In a Discreet, Accredited Setting

Dr. Foster is especially renowned for delivering natural results. Patients who receive surgery from him look rested and relaxed, never experiencing the dreaded, overworked "Hollywood" look. He performs his procedures at a Quad A-certified facility, meaning his practice has proven its commitment to patient safety and surgical quality.

As he knows many plastic surgery patients emphasize privacy, Dr. Foster has chosen to work out of a truly discreet setting in the heart of New York City. This luxurious building is protected by doormen. Once inside, you will be able to meet with Dr. Foster by accessing his subtle entrance that calls no attention to your appointment.

New York City Leaves Stellar Reviews

"Dr. Foster, You are not only a brilliant surgeon, you are an artist.  Blake, you are a ray of sunshine and an inspiration.  I am thrilled with my results and am deeply grateful to you both."

We Prioritize Comfort and Safety

Dr. Foster works with anesthesiologists who are certified in CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. If you are only receiving lower eyelid surgery, you may simply require local anesthesia. For upper eyelid surgery or a procedure on both eyelids, we will administer general anesthesia that renders you unconscious during treatment.

Upper and Lower Eyelid Options

Upper Eyelid Surgery

Upper eyelid surgery is typically focused on getting rid of the droopy look that so many people dread developing. During an upper eyelid lift, Dr. Foster removes excess skin and soft tissue to deliver a rested, relaxed appearance you can enjoy for years to come. This plastic surgery is typically quicker than the other option.

During the plastic surgery, our board-certified surgeon creates a small incision in the natural crease in your eyelid. He then removes all excess tissue before gently suturing the eyelid closed.

Lower Eyelid Surgery

Lower eyelid surgery typically revolves around the removal of bagginess in the eyelids. One major way to address this bagging is by tightening or resurfacing skin on the eyelids. The other approach involves eliminating the excess eyelid fat that leads to the unwanted appearance. Sometimes, both methods are necessary.

During a lower eyelid lift, Dr. Foster makes small incisions inside the eyelid or below the eye lashes before making any necessary changes. This incision placement ensures that the surgical site remains hidden during recovery.

You can combine both procedures for especially pronounced enhancement.

Dr. Foster Performs Revision Eyelid Surgery

Not all plastic surgeons have the same level of skill. If you received unsatisfactory eyelid surgery elsewhere, you should know that Dr. Foster offers blepharoplasty revisions. He can assess what went wrong with your procedure before performing a corrective surgery to give you the lovely eyelids you want.
